now | oldies | me | host | design ToTs i think i may have mentioned the influential british council-ites before, but i have never really elaborated on them. last thursday and friday was our last of the last of the last training sessions for our ToTs training. ToTs being Trainer of Teachers. yahlah... apparently i am now trained to be a trainer of teachers for english pedagogy. it took us two years, and about seven (or maybe more) visits to british council, but we have finally "graduated". thanks to god. lemme introduce you to the british council-ites.  this was on day 1 i.e. thursday, 3 september from left - nora, cleo, me, haryati. otherwise known as c.h.a.n. geddit?  this was on day 2 i.e. friday, 4 september from left - cleo, nora, me, haryati. spot the difference!! can't tell ah? i cut my hair lah, 2nd day!! cleo is preggers, this time. hehe. although honestly, can you tell? i told them that i look like that when i just return from a buffet. hahahah. we met two years ago. at our first bc (british council) meet, cleo wasn't around. i didn't notice haryati and nora was sitting in front of me. she was so tall and slim and pretty that i immediately did the shut-off-thing. you know... the one that goes, "right, she is too intimidating to be friends with." how wrong was i. somehow on the second meet, which was the first proper training day, nora, cleo and i gravitated towards each other like bees to erm... honey. right? okay, like shopaholics to a sale. better? we realized that we were the same kind of cranky-when-tired people. we love to snack, hence our table is always laden with snacks. even our trainer, regina, gravitates to our table to chong-kong our snacks. haha. somehow, we just clicked lah. haryati, was with another group, at that time. she, is another story altogether. she looks so serious and fierce, and very formal that neither of us dared to even talk to her. when she first joined our group, we were like... "alamak, now must be very serious already." little did we know that it was so easy to influence her. hahahahah.... i will miss my bc sessions. it's the time when i can forget about school for a many number of days and just let loose while updating myself with pedagogy, content knowledge and useful tips. i am always thankful that i got sent to this course because it was where i met this three. i have yet to meet haryati's prince and princesses, and of course, nora's chubby hero - i will surely bite his cheeks when i see him! but cleo is talking about a hari raya doo-dah where we will go hang out at either of their houses. i can't wait for that!! weahoooo.... ps - al fatehah to aryane and family. if you're reading this, babe, i may not know how you feel but know that i am always thinking of you.
